// VibeCheck Privacy Policy
VibeCheck is a Mac-and-iPhone companion for AI coding tool usage. The Mac app is the source of truth, and the mobile side is built to receive only the data it needs to show your dashboard and remote controls.
// Policy Text
Overview
VibeCheck reads usage, limits, and reset data from the providers and local tools you connect on your Mac, then turns that information into normalized signed snapshots for your paired devices.
Data Stored On Device
Provider credentials and secrets stay on your Mac in Keychain-accessible storage. The Mac app stores local snapshots, pairings, tool events, and preferences, while iPhone, widget, and Apple Watch components store only the local caches and relay state needed for the companion experience.
How Data Moves Between Devices
By default, VibeCheck pairs over your local network and sends signed usage snapshots to your iPhone. If you enable remote or relay features, encrypted relay traffic and private iCloud relay paths may be used so your paired devices can stay connected away from home.
Optional Permissions
The iPhone app can use camera access for QR pairing, local network access for Mac discovery, and optional microphone plus speech recognition for voice-driven coding sessions. These permissions are used only for the features that require them.
Tracking And Advertising
VibeCheck does not use advertising SDKs, does not sell your data, and does not send your provider API keys to third-party analytics platforms. Data exchanged with provider APIs happens only because you connected those providers for usage tracking.
